#rhbill - Lord have mercy - we can entrust to the Lord our own sufferings in the Kyrie, confident in the Lord’s ability to assist us. This includes our physical ailments, our personal trials, and even our own spiritual blindness, weakness, and sin. Like the blind and lame who come to Jesus for help, we come to Mass with our own afflictions and trials, with our own inability to change—our spiritual and moral paralysis. We join the countless afflicted souls, from the time of Jesus to today, who have found comfort and strength when they cried out, “Lord, have mercy.”
